When it comes to destination weddings films, there's nothing quite like Santorini. For Tamara and Jose, their Cavo Ventus wedding was an incredible experience for them and all of their guests . Within my time as a wedding videographer I've been lucky to have witnessed so many beautiful moments and places.
The setting for this ceremony was the breathtaking Cavo Ventus, a cliffside venue overlooking the Santorini caldera. The team at Julia & Evita did an incredible job of styling the space, making it the perfect backdrop for the couple's vows. And even though the Aegean has the occasional rainy day, it didn't dampen the spirits of the guests or the party.
The term destination wedding videographer has an air of travel videographer about it, but I fell my goal is always to feature the couple more than the location. While Santorini is known for its traditional white buildings and blue domed churches, I wanted to showcase the excitement and emotion of the two families coming together in this dream location.
That's why I made sure to capture candid moments throughout the day, rather than staged or posed shots. And by being subtle about the location in the final edit, I was able to create a beautiful wedding video that highlighted the love and joy of Tamara and Jose's special day.
